Theodora Katsila, PhD is a Researcher C’ at the Institute of Chemical Biology, National Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF), and head of the Biomarker Discovery & Translational Research Group. She graduated magna cum laude from the Department of Chemistry at the University of Patras in 2007 and completed her PhD in Chemistry in 2011. Her postdoctoral training includes positions at the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO), Barcelona, the ETH Zürich, Institute of Systems Biology, and the University of Patras. Her research group focuses on the application of multidimensional analytical methods, such as liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry, for biomarker discovery and the development of personalized therapeutic approaches. The group also provides ADME-Tox services in 3D (in silico, in vitro, in vivo) to academic institutions and industry, supporting technology readiness levels (TRLs). Applications of her research include pharmaceuticals, nanotechnology, personalized medicine, and oncology. Dr. Katsila has participated in international conferences and workshops and collaborates with research networks such as NerveRepack, focusing on new materials and biocompatibility.

In addition to her research and training activities, Dr. Katsila is a member of the Advisory Board of the postgraduate program “Biomedical Methods and Diagnostic Technology” and an alumna of the same program, with a focus on diagnostic methods and advanced technologies.
