Pavlou Efthimia

President of the Panhellenic Association of Medical Laboratory Technologists

Efthimia Pavlou, PhD is the President of the Panhellenic Association of Medical Laboratory Technologists (PETIE), representing the profession and participating in the development of initiatives for its members. She also serves as the Head of the Paramedical Department at Hippocratio Hospital of Athens, where she coordinates laboratory operations and oversees staff activities. Academically, she is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Biomedical Sciences, specializing in “Laboratory Hematology”, and holds a PhD with a dissertation titled “Hemostatic Disorders in Chronic Kidney Disease: Causative Factors and Clinical Correlations.” Dr. Pavlou is also a member of the Advisory Board of the postgraduate program “Biomedical Methods and Diagnostic Technology” and an alumna of the same program, with a focus on diagnostic methods and advanced technologies. Her professional activities combine administrative responsibilities, teaching, and participation in research projects in the field of medical laboratory sciences.
