Dr. Anastasiadi received her BSc (2016), MSc “Applications of Biology in Medicine” (2019), and PhD (2022) from the Department of Biology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and currently works as a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Medicine of the University of Patras. At the same time, she is a lecturer at the BSc (Hons) Biomedical Sciences Programme of the Metropolitan College of Greece, teaching the subjects of “Haematology and Transfusion” and “Cellular Biochemistry”.
Her research interests focus on the examination of red blood cells, plasma, and extracellular vesicles in health and disease, as well as in blood bank conditions, to unravel potential diagnostic/prognostic biomarkers and/or drug targets, personalize blood transfusion, and improve storage conditions. Dr. Anastasiadi was a research associate of a project funded by HFRI and is now the Principal Investigator of a project funded by the European Hematology Association. She has participated in many national and international congresses, and some of her works have been awarded. She has also co-authored a significant number of publications in international peer-reviewed journals and contributes as a peer reviewer in many scientific journals.
