Efstathia Papageorgiou

Professor Efstathia Papageorgiou PHd, MSc has a BSc in Mathematics (1989) an MSc in Applied Mathematics (2000) and a PhD in Mathematics (2004). She is the Vice-Chancellor in student affairs since 2019. She also the president of the Quality Assurance Unit of the University of West Attica and the leader of the “ Reliability and quality control in Laboratory Haematology” lab. Since 2017 she is the director of the interuniversity program “Pedagogy through novel technological and biomedical approaches”. Her research interests are biostatistics, probabilities, medical statistics, meta-analyses, among others. She is the authors of 40+ research articles in international scientific journals and many more books and conference proceedings. He work has been cited more than 500 time (h-index 11). She is a reviewer in 24 scientific journals. She has been the PI or co-PI in 16 funded research programmes, has supervised many MSc projects and is currently supervising 3 PhD students.
