Drossos Panagiotis

Dr. Panagiotis V. Drossos is a Biomedical Scientist with a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of West Attica, specializing in platelet biology and transfusion medicine. He also holds an MSc in Thrombosis – Hemostasis – Transfusion Medicine (NKUA, Onassis Foundation Scholar) and a BSc in Medical Laboratory Science (TEI of Athens). With over 15 years of combined academic, clinical, and research experience, he has contributed to transfusion medicine, molecular biology, genetics and laboratory diagnostics. He has authored peer-reviewed publications in international journals including Biomedicines, Molecular and Clinical Oncology, Diseases, Biomedical Reports, and Blood Transfusion, and presented research at major national and international conferences. Currently, he serves as Academic  at the University of West Attica, while also working at the Molecular Biology and Genetics Center “Karyo.” Beyond research and teaching, he is actively engaged in professional organizations, serving as General Secretary of the Panhellenic Association of Medical Laboratory Technologists and as a Board Member at the General Hospital of Nikaia.
