Dimopoulou Maria

Maria Dimopoulou is a Hematologist, Coordinating Director at the Mediterranean Anemia Unit-Hemoglobinopathies Expertise Center of Laiko. He is a graduate of the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She specialized in Hematology at the A Pathology Clinic of EKPA, at GNA LAIKO and then prepared her doctoral thesis at the School of Medicine of EKPA. He specialized in bone marrow transplantation at the Royal Free Hospital, London, UK.
Since 2009, he has been working at the Mediterranean Anemia Unit of Laiko, which is a center of expertise in rare hematological diseases (hemoglobinopathy) and a full member of the EUROBloodNet European network of reference centers. She has 59 publications in international peer-reviewed journals (h-index 31) and has been invited as a speaker at numerous Greek and international scientific conferences. He is actively involved as a principal investigator in international multicenter clinical trials for new agents for the treatment of hemoglobinopathies.
